Used to have a normal username, changed to a family plan and can't change it from random numbers.

My Question or Issue

Our whole family used to share a singular Premium plan. We chose the username and that was all good. We finally upgraded to a Premium for Family plan for everyone to get their own account. But with the new account (not created with facebook), I cannot change the username from a bunch of numbers and letters. I heard that Spotify doesn't allow you the change the username but I am wondering how on the original acount, we could choose it but we can't now.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

It used to be possible to choose a username, but now usernames are always generated. You're still free to choose any display name you like, though 🙂
