Using spotify to create personalised playlists in aged care homes

I am researching music streaming apps for a proposal between spotify and apple music for music therapy for the elderly. I was wondering if spotify is capable of functioning for this purpose. If we were to purchase a premium family subscription, are we able to use this on multiple devices at the same time or would we have to go offline?
