Why can't I add members to my premium account?

Why can't I add members to my premium account?

Why can't I add members to my premium account? - This isn't made clear as to how you add family members to you premium account. Can you help?

To get the Family Plan, upgrade your account here (if you haven't already).

 

Each family member has to have a separate username and password, so the first step is to create new accounts for each new member (if they haven't already).

 
I suggest creating it with an email address (not the one used for Facebook, if possible), since they'll be able to get a Spotify username / password. Using Facebook will not let you do that.
 
Each member will now have a Free account, so the next step is for them to join your Family plan through your account (You're the one who pays, so you'll be the Family Admin).
 
Send by yourself the link generated through INVITE WITH LINK, instead of letting the system send the mail.
 
Let them accept the invite logged in with their own username in the app and in the website. They should make sure to type the address exactly as the Admin did, and also be sure all Family members use the same Internet connection (Home network) regularly.
 
Each will be able to listen to music at the same time, and will have separate libraries, playlists and friends.

And what do we do if the "Invite with link" button doesnt appear? The "invite with email" isnt working, and support is telling me to use the "Invite with link" button but its not there?invite.png

i've done exactly that and it still isn't working.  what is going on?! i just want my daughters to have seperate accounts.

 

Invite button is not appearing for me.  suggestions?

This could happen when a duplicate account exists, one with a Spotify username / password and one with your Facebook details.

 

Did you get an email receipt for your subscription upgrade? In it, it shows your Spotify username:

 

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

Logout of the Spotify website, and be sure to use it to login to your account. If you see a random number, that's your actual Spotify username, which was assigned automatically to you when you created your account through Facebook. If you see it in your receipt, you need to use the Log In with Facebook button.
