Bought student subscription for little sister who is in school, but unable to access premium

I bought a student subscription for my little sister who is currently at school at Georgia Tech, and signed up for the Hulu+Premium for $4.99. I got billed for it, and she says she can access the hulu account (albeit it has ads) however her spotify account still says "free access." Why is this the case? I am unable to contact anyone over phone so any help would be appreciated. I can't even "cancel the subscription" because technically, it says "free access." However, I am still getting billed every month. Any way to either turn on premium for her or get refunded????
