Four year limit, why?

Four year limit, why?

To keep it short, what's the reasoning behind a four year limit to the student discount? A normal masters program is five years long, and if you're doing medicine you're in it for six years. I don't know if there's been some kind of miscommunication along the way, but you don't magically become richer after having studied for more than four years, quite the opposite, and I assume the reason that there's a student discount to begin with is because students are considered less "economically privileged".

Hey @felixeng,

Thanks for reaching out.

The average length of higher education lasts about 4 years in most countries, which is why Premium Student only lasts up to 4 years. Spotify understands that some students stay longer at a college/university, but unfortunately, no special exceptions can be made in such cases.

You can alternatively check out other reduced-price plans like Premium Family or Duo.

Hope this clears things up 🙂
