I was charged the full price for Premium and not the student rate for no reason.

I was charged the full price for Premium and not the student rate for no reason.

I have had the student premium rate for a long time now, and suddenly I was charged the full $9.99 rate. (U.S.)

I recertified that I was a student a month ago, and now just again. (after already being double charged)

Hey @HarrisonOwns,

 

It sounds like you might’ve accidentally created a second account and signed up on that one for Premium too. I'd recommend checking out the FAQ page "Can I create multiple accounts?" here for more info.

Hey, again @HarrisonOwns,

 

It seems as if your Student account has expired because it's only valid for 12 months when you sign up for it (this is explained in the T&C's here).

You can renew it by following this link and the steps provided there 🙂

I have done that, twice now. I renewed it BEFORE it expired and was still
charged the standard amount.

I don't need some volunteer's readouts from the FAQ. I need customer
support, of which it is disgustingly difficult to get it appears.

I feel like my voice of approval in Spotify has been misplaced if I haven't
received any official help and can't find the appropriate channels with my
first billing error ever.

I think it would be the best to visit Spotify‘s refund policy page and get in touch with the right folks regarding your issue by following the steps provided there 🙂

 

Please be aware that a refund is never guaranteed and all requests will get evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the support.
