NUS Student card no longer valid

Just received an email stating that my premium plan is rising to £9.99 & that NUS Student cards are no longer accepted as a discount.  When did this happen?  I didnt receive any notice that this had changed.  Apparently its Unidays now which as a distant learner, I'm never going to use.  This seems a poor idea.

Dont particularly want to pay more so will go to Apple as the ads drive me nuts.

NUS hasn't been available for the student discount for a few months. For now, you can only sign up through UNiDAYS. Rest assured, we'll pass your feedback on this to the right team.

If you're unable to get the discount through UNiDAYS, you might be interested in Premium for Family. You can have up to 6 Premium accounts at a discounted rate.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the discount with Unidays. They will only take grad students rather than distant learning which is a shame.

Hoping Spoitfy reverse this decision soon.
