Personal information on verification file? ( sheer-id)

Hi

I wanna get a hold on the student discount while im right now a student. To verify that you actually are a student, you have to send a file that proves you are a student. The thing is on that file, my personal idendity number (sweden)  is on the registration paper from my school, that i wanna send in  for verification and i can't  cover it with any editing programs, due to the fileformat. Is it fine if i send it without editing out the ( sensitive information ) about me? And what is sensitive information in this context?
