Premium Student Discount while I'm in college

My Question or Issue

Hi to whoever can help,

I just found out that I'm eligible for the student premium subscription, and my eligibility will expire a year from now (09/10/20). If I don't use the discount before my eligibility expires, will that still count as one of the 12-month periods? Or would I just re-apply for eligibility?

Also, I know the plan is for 4 periods of 12 months (aka 4 years of college), but I plan to be in college longer than 4 years. Will I be able to have the student premium subscription the whole time I'm in college, or for 4 years? Thanks

Hey @Carrie_Smith, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Even if you don't use the discount and you're being charged, it's still considered one of the 12-month periods. Before the discount expires next year, you'll get an email for steps on how to renew your student discount.

Spotify Premium for Students will work up to only 4 years (12 month periods). After that, you won't be able to sign up for Premium for Students.
