Question regarding student discount and new accounts

My Question or Issue

I'm currently using Spotify premium on ~3 year old account with a student discount.

I applied for the student discount about ~3 months ago, it got accepted and everything is working fine.

The problem is that I want to create a new account because the account I'm currently using is pretty old and I want to start over again.

If I were to cancel my Spotify (student discount) premium on my current account and apply for a student discount on my new account would it get accepted? Or would it get rejected because I already used it on my old account?

And if it does get rejected would I be able to re-apply next (school)year when it runs out?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Unfortunately, you'll need to wait until 12 months have elapsed (since you first signed up for Premium Student), in order to apply it on another account.

You're entitled to one account with Premium Student at a time, and that discount will last for 12 months even if you cancel the subscription or close the account.
