Retroactive discount for premium student

Hi there, I've been a Spotify premium customer for over a year. I've been paying the full price monthly, and just recently found out you offer a student discount. I was never notified about a discount and since I'm a student, I would obviously like to pay a cheaper price. Are you able to do a retroactive credit on my account? Or what support does customer care offer in this situation?

Thanks for reaching out. You can sign up for the student discount here if you're eligible: https://spotify.com/student.

Once that's successful, you'll be able to receive the discount for 12 months at a time.

If you feel as if you'd like to discuss your previous subscription details with the team, I'd suggest getting in contact with them directly via email, or by tweeting their support handle @SpotifyCares. They should be able to explain things for you.
