Se cambio mi plan de estudiante a individual!!

Se cambio mi plan de estudiante a individual!!

Tuve un cobro excesivo en mi tarjeta siendo que tenia spotifu de estudiante y viendo mi perfil sale que tengo una cuenta individual, 1uiero saber por que se cambio? Una amiga de su celular tuvo que cambiarlo ya qur a mi no me lo permitia, quiero saber porque paso esto? y deseo una solucion ya que yo jamas he cambiado mi cuenta por una normal.

Thanks for posting in the Community. We hope you don't mind us replying in English.

 

If your Student subscription has been changed to an Individual one, it means your Student subscription has expired and needs a renewal. The Student subscription should be renewed every 12 months for up to 4 years in total. Here is how to do that.

A mi tambien me paso eso me cambiaron de estudiante a individual que pasa con el cobro de la individual lo van a bonificar , mi cargo lo realizaron el dia 27 de noviembre, y digame como lo debo resolver.

Thank you for your reply in this thread. 

 

Based on what you're describing it's possible that you didn't verify your student discount with SheerID and activated the discounted subscription on time. Keep in mind that you need to reverify that you're still student every year in order to keep your Student discount. We send out an email when a user's discount is expiring one month before it does. In this email it's stated that if you don't reverify, your subscription will be converted to Premium Individual - hence you'll be charged the price for Individual. 

 

We suggest checking your inbox and Spam folders to see if you've received it. It's also a good idea to check if the email on your Spotify account is correct. 

 

If you can't find it, we recommend reaching out to SheerID here. Their customer support team will happily help out with the whole verification process, as they are the ones in charge of it and we don't have access to their systems. They should be able to can send you a new link allowing you to get the student discount if you're still eligible for it.

Yo no había tenido problemas con mi verificación, ya que caducaba hasta octubre del año 2024, pero ahora también se cambió mi plan a premium individual y no sé qué hacer, por qué el mes pasado el cobro se realizó de manera normal con plan de estudiante 

¿Puedo obtener un reembolso?

  1. pero yo acabo de contratar el plan de estudiante hace 4 meses, y aún así se cambió mi plan a individual 

yo empecé a con mi plan de estudiante el 13 de marzo, y todo bien hasta hoy 13 de julio que se me hizo el cobro pero como plan individual, por qué se cambió mi plan? y como lo soluciono

From what you kindly mentioned, it seems your discount has expired and that is why you started to be charged for Premium Individual. As mentioned previously in this thread, once a student discount runs out, you go back to paying the standard monthly price as stated in the terms and conditions of the discount.

 

Now, it's possible that you didn't continue with the verification process of the student discount, so it didn't get activated on time. Take into account that you need to reverify that you're still a student every year in order to activate the student discount. We send an email when a user's discount is expiring and there it's stated that if you don't complete the reverification process, your subscription will be converted to Premium Individual.

 

In that sense, if perhaps you did not receive such an email, we encourage you to check your junk/spam folder or that you don't have our emails blocked. If you are still eligible for the discount, you can request to extend it for another year here.

 

If perhaps you've completed the reverification process already, we suggest you go here to your account page, locate the Student plan and hit Select to complete the activation of the plan on your account. 

 

Nonetheless, if you're not sure if the discount got activated or if you'd like further info, the best way to go would be to get in touch with our Customer Support team, so they can help you check your account more thoroughly. You can find out how to contact them here.

Buenos días, quisiera reportar un problema con mi cuenta.

Lo que pasa es que yo tenia un plan estudiantil que tiene vigencia hasta el 1 de enero del 2025, pero hace unos días se ha cambiado a Plan Familiar con mi misma cuenta bancaria, de la cual, en ningún momento he hecho ese cambio, y al hacer de nuevo el cambio a Plan Estudiantil, me sale el siguiente mensaje: No reúnes los requisitos de este plan. Aquí tienes otras formas de pasarte a Premium. A pesar que aun tengo esa vigencia, quisiera recibir ayuda de algún soporte por favor.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community! 

 

Hope you don't mind me replying in English. To begin with the unauthorized change of your subscription, I recommend following the steps in this article to make sure your account is secured. Afterwards, you can cancel the current Family plan on your account page by clicking on Change plan under Manage your plan. Then you'd need to scroll to Cancel Spotify and click Cancel Premium. You'll also be able to see when your account will revert to the free service under Your plan on your account page and that's when you'll be able to subscribe to Premium Student again.

 

If for some reason you can't access your account and do any of these changes, it'd be best to reach out to the folks over at Customer Support, so that they can help you with that.
