Spotify unable to confirm I'm a student

Hello,

 

I'm trying to renew my student account. I believe this will be the third and final time I can renew as I've been on a student account since May 2017.

 

I've been successfully verified by SheerID and had the email from SheerID saying 'You're verified'. However, after I click on the link in the email and confirm the account, it takes me to my Spotify account page with the following error:

 

"Unfortunately, we couldn't confirm that you're a student.
Please check your details and try again.

If we still can't confirm your details, you won't be charged.
Any pending charges on your card statement will disappear in a few days."

 

Any ideas why I'm getting this if SheerID have confirmed I'm a student?

Welcome to the Community!

 

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties renewing your Student discount, but no worries - help's on the way!

 

If you've already received an email from SheerID confirming your student status, you can start off by trying to open the link in that email in an incognito or private window, preferably on a desktop device, to activate your discount.

 

In case that doesn't do the trick, we recommend you try applying for the Student discount again here.

 

In order to renew the discount, you can either log into your college/uni's portal or upload proof of your enrollment, to verify your Student status again. If you upload proof of enrollment, you need to wait for SheerID to email you with your eligibility status. This can take a few days.

 

If you're still having difficulties verifying your student status with SheerID, we suggest you take a look at their Student Support Page or get in touch with them so that they can check your status again.

Hey there,

I currently have the same issue. I succesfully verified my student status via SheerID yesterday (got an email saying Im verified) but spotify shows a red box error saying they are unable to verify me as a student.

 

I am a premium member for years and I think I was on a student discount for 1 year already, so I think it should work for a second year, right!?

Hi,

I'm currently having problems with being verified for the student discount. Every time I enter my university information and then press 'verify', this message pops up: 

 

"Unfortunately, we couldn't confirm that you're a student. Please check your details and try again."

 

I have no clue what to do. If someone please knows how to solve this issue, please help me.

Just to confirm, did you always receive said error? Did you previously receive the error applied to the Student Discount? If yes, keep in mind it can take a few days to hear back about eligibility.


The best way to go in this type of case is to contact our friends at SheerID, so they can help you verify your status and how the process is going. From our side we can't check these details, since SheerID is in charge of it.

Estou tentando assinar o spotify universitário e o app não está aceitando nenhum dos meu comprovantes de matrícula nem a minha declaração 

So the problem is that when it askes me to log into my student account it takes me automatically to the old college website of my college and not the new one, and in that website I can't log in. So I can't finish the verification process... anybody knows what to do? I sent an email mail to the company that does the verification process for spotify but I wanted to try here as well.
