Student Discount Abroad

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with getting the student discount and I hope you can help me! I'm a German studying at a Dutch university and I'm already successfully registered on UNiDays and in the Netherlands in general (BSN). The thing is that my credit card is from Germany and Spotify won't accept it! I can't use my Dutch debit card or a voucher since that's not even an option either. They can't seriously expect people who study abroad to have a local credit card!

Unfortunately, that's just how it is. You can't use a German payment method to pay for the Student Discount in another country.

Your account’s country settings need to match the country of your university, and your payment method needs to have also been issued in this same country. For help with this, check out our guide to country settings.
