Student Discount fraud?

Student Discount fraud?

Hi, I am university student in the united states and have been trying to upgrade my free account using the student discount. I used my school email to create the account originally. When I get to the payment page to upgrade, once I go to verify that I'm a student I get a message saying that my credentials are already being used for another account. I have only made the one account and have only tried to upgrade it recently. Does this mean that someone is falsely using my student info to get a discout or am I going through this process the wrong way?

I'd recommend reaching out to Support so they can take a closer look at this.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
