Student Discount in Turkey

Solved!

Student Discount in Turkey

Hey,

I am a university student in Turkey. I tried to get premium with student discount and i got directed to a site to verify that i am a student, i assume that the site could not verify it but they charged my credit card with the price. I still do not have the premium even though i paid. Any solution to that?

No matter if student verification was successful or failed, a temporary charge goes through. These are only temporary charges on your credit card and they should disappear in a few days. The only charge that you actually have to pay for is if you were successfully verified for the student discount.

If you're having trouble signing up for the student discount, you can submit for manual verification (as a head's up, this can take up to 12 hours to process). For more info, check out Spotify Support and SheerID Support. If your school is not listed, you can submit this feedback form to SheerID.

Hey @egzo,

It’s very likely just a pending charge if you haven’t received a receipt from Spotify via Email 🙂

A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company’s authorization process. When you submit a payment, they place a temporary authorization on the funds.

If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will be taken and the charge will soon disappear. The time this takes can vary, depending on your bank/credit card company. For more information, contact your bank/credit card company.

I am having the same issue and I can't use the premium features. Should I wait until the verification?

Also it says 0.99 TL for the first 3 months but still charged me 6.99 TL.
