Student discount wasnt applied

Hi,

I already got the premium account on spotify but today i received the notification saying if have paid the monthly suscription but instead of being charged 5€ which is half price for me in Spain.Instead i got charged 10€ (which is full price).

I have already checked the student verification 4 times and i says i already have the discount although it hasn't being applied.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community!

 

Just to confirm, did you avail of the discounted rate here? If you follow the steps and see an error message, it's possible that you have already claimed the discount on another Spotify account. Here's how you can find other accounts.

hello,

i have the exact same problem, sheerID actually verified me as a student... but spotify kept charging me at a full price instead of the student one... so how can that be fixed??

I have indeed, and it says i have already claimed that offer.
I see no error when i use the sheerID confirmation and i dont have claimed
this offer in any other account

I have a similiar problem. I was going to have a premium spotify account for the first time with special student discout but before i finished entering my card information and finalizing by clicking the button, spotify gave me an alert which says i have tried trial before. The deal doesn't say anything like that and i never tried trial. Deal will come to an end soon and i will can't able to pay anything to spotify. this is an urgent help

@GuillermoYR and @bourjo you might've already registered for the Student Discount, but might've been charged for the regular price since the details haven't been applied to your accounts yet. This can happen if you already had a running Premium subscription, you will probably be charged with the discounted rate next time. We suggest that you check out our refund policy.

 

@yuzaf the Student Discount isn't considered a trial of any sort. Can you go to the Student Discount page here, but open it in an incognito window and try again? Keep in mind that you can renew the Student Discount up to 4 times, so if you've had it for that long before, you won't be able to do it again.

I'm in a similar situation, my student subscription ran out in September and I renewed it then. However I was still charged the $10 that month as well as for the month of October. According to my account page I'm still being charged the $10 for this coming November. 

 

I've tried renewing in incognito, also tried discontinuing my premium and renewing through the student page. No luck so far, any help would be appreciated.
