Subscription fees have been charged twice

Subscription fees have been charged twice

Hi Spotify,

I've had a premium account for a few years now. A few days ago I subscribed for the student discount, since Im a student (at Leiden University in the Netherlands). I've just checked my bank account and saw that the subscription fees for both a normal premium account (€9,99) and a student premium account (€4,99) have been charged yesterday, instead of only the student premium account. Hoe can I receive the €9,99 back? And how can this be avoided in the future?

Were both the payments taken out at the same time?

 

If so I recommend contacting Support about this issue, you can do this via Twitter (@SpotifyCares) or on the online contact form, they can look backstage at this.
