The country of my college is not showing up when I try to register for a student account

My Question or Issue

I am originally from Japan, and thus I have a Japanese Spotify account, but I currently studying in the US for college. I recently tried to switch my account to the Student Premium plan - however, when I tried to select the country of my university during the student verification process, I realized that the United States was not an option. Does this mean that I have to change my Spotify location to the United States in order to get the student plan?

The country of your Spotify account needs to match that of your University.
