family member and student discount question

My Question or Issue

 One of my family members signed up for the student discount in my name - how do I make sure that I alone will be able to get the student discount? When I go to set it up I get a message saying "Your student credentials are already associated with another Spotify account."

Hey there @balbertsp,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community!

Keep in mind that you are entitled to only one Spotify account with the student discount applied on it at a time. 

However, since you mention that one of your family members applied your discount on their own account by mistake, we'd suggest reaching out to us by following the link here. This way, our support team can investigate further behind the scenes for you.

On another note, please note that it’s currently not possible to pay for the Student discount with a Spotify gift card, and you can't apply additional discounts such as Premium for Family.
