not getting student discount

ive had spotify since my freshman year or so and was almost always charged $5 but i checked and at some point it stopped recognizing me as a student and charging me literally double. im broke and that extra 5 dollars a month goes a long way how do i fix this

The student discount is only valid for 12 months at a time. If you didn't renew it on time, the account will automatically revert to the full subscription price.

In this case, you just need to renew the discount. You'll need to enter your payment details again, but you won't be charged twice. This step only confirms the card information you'd like to use. The discount price should apply automatically on your next billing date.

If you're sure you renewed the discount, or if it's been less than 12 months since you added it, it'd be best to contact our Support team via Twitter or Facebook.

They'll be able to take a closer look at your account and see what they can suggest.
