student discount but paid 9,99€ // Germany

Hey Spotify-Team,

I use your service for years now as a student (i still am) and always refresh my certificate of enrollment at unidays... but this month you charged the normal price instead of the discount one.

Can you check this for me please?

Could you check over here what subscription you are on. May I ask you to confirm that the account you subscribed to and the one you are logging in to are the same? When you successfully upgrade to Spotify Premium, you receive a confirmation email. Please make sure, that when you are logging in to the account, you are using that username on the email. If its a ten digit number, use the log in with facebook tab.
If you are, or if you are having troubles finding the right account, please come back to us and we can look into some further troubleshooting. Best of luck

Hi Leo,

thanks for your answer. As i already mentioned, i was and still am a premium user.

Yes i can confirm that they are the same. To me the problem is, that although i extended my certificate of study Spotify charged the normal 9,99€ premium subscribtion instead of 4,99€. 🙂

Hi @lordfu,

Can you resubscribe to the student premium subscription, or does it not work? You can do this from over here.

When you sent your Student ID, it gets verified by SheerID. It can take up to 28 days for SheerID to chack that you're actually eligible for a student discount. When you resent your student identification, did you get an email back from sheerID saying that it got accepted/rejected. If your ID wasn't verified ye t, or rejected, that would be the reason why you payed the full price.
