Music Rap flaw.

I listen to a lot of full albums. When I am finished the Album Spotify's algorithm always starts playing the same songs from some kind of playlist of liked songs or genre that I am listening to. What showed up in my Music Rap as my top songs were these songs that Spotify forced on me after what I was listening to was completed. The songs are fine and all would be cool as long as they shuffled, so that it wouldn't start with the same order every time.

What's happening is that the algorithm is pushing songs "For You" that are similar or have been deemed similar to the rap songs you were listening to.  Many factors go into this - popularity/streams/likes. Naturally Spotify will push songs now that are more popular though the ones you're listening to, esp. if they are older and not as popular or independent for example, into your algorithm so it can keep directing songs that match the tempo, key and general style towards you.  This is also the same thing for the artist radio.

You can combat this by making a personal playlist and retraining the algorithm to the styles you like.  This is but one of the many new changes in 2024.  Hope this helps, and if it did check us out as a nice thank you.
