Yes. But if you want to remove it just go to preferences and disable "Show desktop overlay when using media keys".

Today I've installed Spotify from Windows Store replacing the desktop application, that I used before. In Spotify App installed from Windows Store there's no player control on Lock Screen - I think it's a bug or oversight. Please, bring it back!

You must enable "Show desktop overlay when using media keys" in options.

Fyi, I needed to disable this new feature to restore media key functionality when the Windows Spotify app is not in the foreground.
