Buffer Overflow/Memory Error in Spotify

I'm no security expert, but I received this crash error randomly while using spotify. It wasn't even playing any music. I wanted to share this incase it is important, and spotify support sent me here.

Hey!

Thank you for arriving. Does this happen on multiple devices or just a specific one? If only one, which device is affected? Consider clearing all caches and cookies, particularly the one related to Spotify, and try again to see if the problem persists.

Latest spotify linux client is not working in latest ubuntu 24.10 (deb install).

The system detect a stack smashing bug in spotify client and it closes the internal threads that caused the bug.

/usr/bin/spotify
*** stack smashing detected ***: terminated

This should be fixed by spotify developers.

Sounds good, I was on Arch linux myself, so it might just be a general linux bug.
