HTTP API: Missing preview_url in single track GET

HTTP API: Missing preview_url in single track GET

Hi all,

In the recent blog post detailing changes to the HTTP API, "30-second preview URLs , in multi-get responses (SimpleTrack object)" were removed. However, I'm finding that also single track get responses also have this field nulled out. Is that intentional? This seems like a bug, given the wording in the blog post.

Happy for any guidance the team might have.

Hi @Scifarer1

According to this article, this feature is deprecated.

I don't know any alternatives.

I hope this answers your question. If you have further questions, feel free to ask!

Cheers,

Hi @Ximzend,

That's the article I'm referring to in my original post. They explicitly mention multi-GET responses, but no the single GETs. That should mean that the preview_urls should still be available when getting a single track, no? It'd be helpful if a Spotify team member could clear this up.

Cheers!

Hi @Scifarer1

I understand your confusion. I thought the same a month ago.

You can read a reply from a Spotify employee through this link.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Cheers!
