But why does Spotify Premium have this stupid 10,000-song limit on Your Library?

But why does Spotify Premium have this stupid 10,000-song limit on Your Library?

I have a premium account. I just got a badge earlier today that I've been with Spotify for two years! Woot woot! Coincidentally also today I tried to download an album to my phone to listen in my car and it says "All filled up. Epic collection, friend. There's no more room in Your Library." So I tried un-downloading a bunch of albums. Didn't work. It lets me download albums to my phone that are already "saved" in my library, which is basically any and all albums I've liked over the last two years. But it won't let me download anything new.

I realize this is a topic a lot in Spotify with Spotify users doing the work of Spotify to tell other Spotify users that there's a 10,000 song limit on saved songs. Not on downloads. Saved songs. The question I have for the group is, WHY WOULD SPOTIFY HAVE THIS RIDICULOUSLY STUPID POLICY? Does it save them any significant storage space? Does it serve any purpose whatsoever? Why would people spend money for PREMIUM service only to get a cap on the amount of songs they are able to like?

I am probably going to cancel my account because of this. Until then, would love to hear your thoughts! Maybe if enough of us complain they'll actually pay attention and change this awful, awful policy.

I am disappointed about this, also about the limit of downloaded songs and the limit of songs on a playlist. I listen music everyday at my work, so I'm always adding new songs and now I can't put any songs in my library anymore.
