Can't activate free trial on new account

Can't activate free trial on new account

I've just made an account and have an offer for a 4 month free trial, but when I try to activate it says 'It looks like you’ve taken a trial before, which means you aren’t eligible for this offer.' This is impossible as I just created the account.

i think you just cant use the same credit card twice to prevent people from geting new account and exploiting it. Just found this out becaouse i got the 3 months free on the wrong account. I instantly cancaled it and tryed on my main account and it says I already used the free trail.

Thanks for reaching out. What @savagesosage8 said is true. A new account doesn't mean you're eligible for any trial offers. The free trial is only for users who have never used Premium before on any account and under any form, including Family/Duo membership and gift cards. When you make a new account, it's possible you will see adverts for various trial offers you may not be eligible for, as the system can only check your eligibility after you enter your payment method.

 

By the way @savagesosage8, if you got Premium on the wrong account, you can reach out to our support team to possibly have it transferred. When doing so, make sure to have all your payment info on hand, as those will be necessary for search and verification.

I am trying to share the 2 month free trail for premium with an account that was just created and has never had premium before and when I try to activate it it says the account already has premium.
