Can’t join a duo plan: unknown problem

Can’t join a duo plan: unknown problem

When I enter and confirm my address a screen is shown that says “ There was a problem Please try again later.” With no other information. Frustrating as we’re paying way more than we need to for Spotify (Duo + my individual premium) until I can join

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

If you haven’t already, I’d suggest checking with the plan owner to confirm whether they’ve added someone to their plan already. If they have, that could explain why you’re not able to join at the moment.

 

Since you mentioned that you’re also paying for a Premium subscription, could you let me know if you’re paying directly through Spotify or through a partner? If it’s through a partner, you’ll need to cancel that subscription and wait until your account reverts back to the free service. That should resolve the issue, as partner subscriptions can prevent you from joining a Premium Duo plan.
