Can't upgrade to family

Can't upgrade to family

Every time I try to upgrade to family I get the error message "Unable to change plans. This could be because you're not eligible for this plan, you're already on it, or you don't have a stored payment method".

I'm on an individual plan currently and play through the Play Store (which has lots of payment methods). Is there something else I can do to upgrade? I've tried on the desktop rather than the app, but that just pushes you back to the mobile app.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

To upgrade to Premium Family, you'll first need to cancel your subscription by following these steps. Alternatively, you could also cancel it directly through the Play Store.

 

Once your subscription has ended and you're back on Spotify's free plan again, you should be able to subscribe to Premium Family at https://spotify.com/family 🙂
