Changing from Spotify student premium to family premium plan

Hi, I'm a Spotify student premium plan user since 2023 December. Recently I've reverified my student discount in my account for another year till 2025 December. Now if I change my student premium plan to family premium plan, will my verification for being student will be lost completely? 

Can I be eligible to get the discount if in the midway (say for e.g. after a year/ few months), I change the family premium to back again to student premium plan?

Thanks for reaching out.

You can change plans or cancel your subscription at anytime, but it's important to note that the 12 months period does not pause, even if you're not paying a subscription. 

If you come back to Premium Student and the 12 months period hasn't expired yet, you can resubscribe to Premium Student once more. You'll have access to the discount until those 12 months have expired.

Students can re-verify their eligibility once every 12 months, for a maximum of 3 additional 12 month periods.
