I've disabled every notification that I can find and I'm still getting adverts for DUO pretty much every other time I launch the app. I don't want it, I don't need it, I'm not going to pay for it as I've already got premium so how, for the love of all that is holy, do I stop the endless nagging?
Hi there @nunoncastors,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
Can you provide us a screenshot so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Take care!
Thanks for getting back to us @nunoncastors!
We're afraid that if you've attached a screenshot, we're not able to see it from our end. Could you try uploading it again?
Also, we're received some similar reports here. Could you try out the suggested steps and let us know if they help!
We'll be on the lookout for an update.
Cheers!
Not sure what the problem was there but, as requested, here's a screenshot.
Now that, to me at least, and considering I've disabled all notifications except for emails and already pay for a subscription, is an advert.
I don't want to see adverts, that's why I pay a subscription.
Hey @nunoncastors,
Thanks for the reply and the screenshot.
This doesn't appear to be an ad that interrupts the users listening experience. Those are product recommendations that only appear once when you open the app and can be dismissed immediately by tapping on Dismiss.
There's an idea about this. You can leave a +VOTE and Subscribe to the thread for any updates. Even though its status is set to Closed - Not Enough Votes, it's still open for voting and will be considered if it reaches the required amount of votes. Find more info here.
Something else you can try is to go to your Account page > Switch everything Off under Notification settings. Go to Privacy settings and switch Off Tailored Ads.
Hope you find this info helpful.
I'm not really interested in semantics - not least because "product recommendation" is just another way of saying advert - I'm interested in the fact that I pay to not encounter adverts and that's an advert.
Out of curiosity, if this isn't an advert - and aside from the fact that I've already got the setting disabled - why would switching off tailored ads have any affect at all? You know, what with it being a "product recommendation" and all.

Aye, I'm truly blessed. I'd honestly prefer it if they were just honest and said "we won't interrupt playback but you'll still get in-app adverts". It's the weasel words that annoy me.
Hi there,
Thanks for reminding me about the Duo plan in the iOS app. I am single. The upgrade does not make sense to me, but the App seems to think differently.
Doesn’t matter how many times I close the notification bubble at the top of the playlists „Liked Songs“, it reappears randomly after a while again.
Sorry but this is bad UX.
Hope you fix this soon!
