Debit card cancelled, waiting for new one to pay bill

My Question or Issue

My debit card has been cancelled due to fraudulent activity, I’m supposed to receive a new one within a week but I don’t want my account to be down graded from premium because of this issue with my card. Do I just wait for the card and hope Spotify doesn’t change my subscription? Or is there a way to communicate this to someone so they know the payment is coming and don’t change my account?

Hey @Corinaelise, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I'll be happy to help you.

If your card is no longer active by your billing date - your Premium subscription won't automatically cancel.

Spotify will attempt to charge your card a few times before your account reverts to Spotify Free. The amount of time this takes may vary.

Keep in mind though, when your account reverts to Spotify Free, you can always upgrade back to Premium at anytime (when you get your new card).

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, just let me know 😉
