Had an individual Premium subscription, changed to duo and my dad can't join the plan

Hello peeps,
As mentioned in title, I had an individual Premium account for over an year and decided to get the duo subscription so my dad can join Spotify Premium experience.
We are from Romania, I've changed the plan, added the address we live on my account, send him the invitation link and every time when he tries to add his address on Spotify he receive the following message:

There was a problem

Please try again later.

We tried to get into that link with different browsers, incognito mode, different devices, nothing works. It's really frustrating. We'd love some help here. He created his Spotify account some days ago and validated it trough mail confirmation and never had a subscription before.

Hi @Ripulica1!

It's possible that you were affected by this ongoing issue we had that should now be resolved.

In any case, when inviting someone to join your Duo/Family plan, it's important to first check if both your countries match, as it's necessary in order for the other person to join. This can be done on your account page, under Country or region. You can find out more info on how to change these settings in this article.

Make sure also that your dad enters the exact same address you've entered when you signed up for Duo. In case the form keeps adjusting the format of the address when your dad enters it (so it doesn't match the one you've entered on your account), you can adjust the format on your end first. That way when your dad opens the new invite link you sent him and enters the same address they'd match.

Let us know how it goes. Cheers!
