Hulu subscription price increasing?

My Question or Issue

My subscription for Hulu says that the price is increasing on Oct 17, 2024, to $9.99 a month even though I have the Student Plan for Spotify where I only pay $5.99 for both. Why would the Hulu plan be increasing and what do I do if I am charged more on that date?

It sounds like the price increase you’re seeing is likely for solo Hulu subscriptions only. The best way to confirm this is to reach out directly to Hulu support and ask if the increase applies to partner subscriptions as well.

If they’re unsure and direct you back to Spotify, just keep in mind that Spotify always announces any price increases with at least an in-app message. So, unless you’ve seen such notifications, it’s likely that the increase will only affect direct Hulu subscribers for now.
