No email attached to account, what to do?

No email attached to account, what to do?

I have a spotify account for which i pay for premium. When i go to my account settings (Mobile, app) i ONLY see a username (a string of numbers and letters) but no email. can i still _add_ an email?

i've been afraid of logging out of the account and making a new one in case i cant log back in...

Hey there,

 

Thanks for coming to the Community. 

 

It sounds like your account might actually not be linked to an email address—this sometimes happens if you signed up using an external service. To check, please open the Spotify app on your mobile device and go to Settings and privacy > Account, then tap Email. If the option is there, it’ll take you to your account’s Edit Profile section, where you can add an email address and set a password if needed.

 

If you don’t see this option, let me know! Also, just a heads-up—an email address can only be linked to one account. If you’re unsure whether you have another Spotify account, you can double-check by following these steps.

 

If there’s a specific email you want to use but it’s linked to a different account, you’ll need to close that account first. Afterward, it can take 14 to 30 days for the email address to become available for use again.

 

If you run into any roadblocks, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Spotify Support team—they double-check things.
