Paid Premium with PayPal, but something went wrong

Paid Premium with PayPal, but something went wrong

I've just bought Premium for one month with PayPal (using a new bank account, maybe that's why it doesn't work?) but something went wrong. I've received a PayPal mail about the payment but nothing from Spotify. What should I do, I don't want to pay 2 times for one month.

To confirm, you've received confirmation that the payment has been processed? If so, are you able to use your Premium features? Can you also send me a screenshot of where you're seeing an error message? I'll take a look.

PayPal says the Payment is "pending", I don't know what that means, that never happened before. Sorry, but I dismissed the error message.

 

I can't use Premium features, it still says "Free".

Thanks for confirming! 

Generally, it takes 1-3 business days for the payment to be received on Spotify's end, and once it does - the status of your account will turn to Premium. If you just processed the payment today, let's wait 1-3 business days (and I'll check in by Saturday) to check if your account has turned to Premium.

 

If you received an email confirming your Premium subscription, or your account has turned to Premium before I check in on Saturday, let me know.

 

I'll be here if you need anything in the meantime!

What? In the past I've received the Premium status immediately after buying it, why should I wait up to 3 days now?

I've tried it again and now it works. But now I have a pending payment (the old one) and a finished one. How can I delete the pending payment?

Hey @Merowinger,

 

I'm glad to hear it works! The pending payment should go away in a few days. It was most likely an authorization charge.

 

I'd also recommend checking your statements to check if you're seeing the both charges or not.
