My Question or Issue

I had to change the card previously used for Spotify Payments. However, it is impossible to update the payment methods, and I tries three different cards already (AmEx included). My bank told that online purchases are possible, and there should be no issue. Could you please check what is wrong?
Please note that I did follow all the steps indicated on the official webpage, but nothing works.

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

Could you check if the payment method you're using is issued in the same country as that of your Spotify account? You'll find your country settings on your account page. Also, make sure that your payment method has a 2-factor authentication set up.

 

Once you've checked these, you can try updating your payment details again using:

  • an incognito / private window or another browser
  • a different network / mobile data
  • another device

In case the issue persists, I'd recommend reaching out to the folks over at Customer Support so they can take a closer look and investigate further.

I recently opened a new bank account. The problem being now that the card my Spotify account has on file isn’t the correct one. Anytime I try to update to the correct one it declines it.
