Premium Family But Only One User?

Premium Family But Only One User?

Hello,

I've had a premium family plan for a long time and am just now getting around to asking why I am limited to only one stream at a time.

If my son is listening to Spotify (on his own account) I can't stream at the same time. We have different playlists but only one user at a time?

Is that the way it is supposed to work? Only one user at a time?

Hey @JeffreyLBoyd,

It sounds like all family members are trying to use the same Spotify account to listen to music at the same time. To be able to listen to music at the same time, all family members need to have their own Spotify account. If they don't have a Spotify account yet, they can sign up on http://spoti.fi/2e1FH6k.

You can learn how to invite family members to your Premium for Family plan here: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/premium_for_family/premium-for-family/

Hi - I have a similar problem, we have one account and 4 users, so do I need to set up 3 new free accounts and then invite those users to the premium family account ? do they need to accept the invite on the device that they plan to listen to spotify on (we have one computer to stream from the house, and then 3 iphones to listen to music from) I assume they also need to log in via their own account and can they then stream and/or listen offline. so can 4 of us stream to our own accounts via premium in the same house and also download music on those devices ?

thanks

Gordon
