My Question or Issue

I am getting frustrated. Months ago, I realized that Spotify was charging me 3x for premium account. I was surprised because technically I only have 1 account, but as their FAQs stated, if you’re logged in on web or other devices, you’ll be charged for each login or device. So I logged out everything through their website. I cancelled my premium last June 2024. But to my dismay, I saw another charge this month (August). I am confused, I am only using the app and it’s not subscribed to premium. I am not logged in via web and I don’t use other device. I also removed Spotify from my Alexa. Spotify doesn’t even list the email or devices that are tied up with your account so they can explain which is being charged. I am thinking of permanently deleting the app and my account to prevent unfair charging.

Hey @gles88,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Based on the details you've provided, it's possible you were previously paying for two accounts, but now it's just one as you've canceled one of the subscriptions.

Keep in mind that being logged into multiple devices doesn't mean you'll get charged for each login, and ogging out via the website doesn't cancel any of your subscriptions.

Each account can only have one active susbcription at a time, meaning that it you're seeing two charges, for example, you most likely have two accounts and each of them has got an active subscription.

You can check out this guide for locating any additional accounts you may have.

Let me know how it goes! 🙂

Thanks for the detailed guide on how to check if I have other existing accounts. I checked Facebook and Apple and I do not have any Spotify account associated with them. I also have no other active email address. So I am still confused on why am I being charged multiple times each month and even after cancelling the premium, nothing has changed. Again, thank you for your response. ☺️

Hey again, @gles88,

If you were unable to locate your additional accounts, then I recommend reaching out to Support so that they can help you locate them: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/ 🙂

I canceled my premiums but am still charged sometimes weekly and yet I do not get to access services.
Kindly cancel all the subscriptions immediately so that I do not block my Visa card.

will resume once everything is clear, I start afresh.

regards
