Premium expires until September. What if I get premium now under a different plan?

Premium expires until September. What if I get premium now under a different plan?

Hello Spotify community. I can't find an answer to this question so I decided to post here for answers. Sorry if the subject did not make sense. I cancelled my premium subscription and it doesn't expire until September. I am planning to get premium again but on a different plan. My question is, what would happen if I were to pick a plan like duo or family? Would it start charging me for either of those plans right away regardless if my premium expires on September?

Would appreciate any answers 🙂

Hey @VelocityNR, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Sorry for the delayed response, but I'll be happy to help.

Your new payment date for the upgraded subscription will likely be a few days earlier than usual to cover the price difference between Individual and Premium Duo. You'll also get a notice of your new billing date before you upgrade your subscription.

There is some more information on how Premium Duo, or Premium Family works by checking out these Spotify Answers.

I hope you'll find this useful. I'll be here if you have any more questions!
