Spotify Duo, says we’re in different country but we’re not.

hello everyone, here’s my situation.

 

my partner and I live together in Belgium, but my account was created in France and hers in the Netherlands.

 

therefore our account are French and Dutch.

 

despite being both located in Belgium, Spotify won’t let us use the Duo subscription, saying we don’t live at the same address.

 

apparently to change you country in your profil you need to change the paiement method, but I have a French credit card, and she has a Dutch and Portuguese one, so we can’t change the location in our settings.

 

how can we deal with this ? We actually live together and can’t have a duo subscription

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Since you're living in Belgium, you would, unfortunately, need a payment method that's been issued there to be able to change your country setting to Belgium and to make sure that the Premium Duo plan works properly.

 

I'm assuming that your partner would like to join the Premium Duo plan as a member. In that case, she can just cancel her subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, she can change her country setting through a dropdown menu.
