My Question or Issue

  • I signed up to Spotify Premium after following the link of an Instagram Ad as it stated an offer of 3 months free trial before being charged. Surprisingly, money got deducted from my bank account straight away. Not a pleasing surprise at all as I expected to receive the service that was stated in the advert.

Hey @speryrufolo ,

Welcome to the Community!

Can you please let me know how much you were charged? I'd recommend taking a look at this article regarding charges during trial.

Thanks! 😃

I was charged $11.99 3 days after signing up for 3 months free.  This is not a "nominal" charge!  This is the full subscription price.  I have never had premium!  Seems like I won't have it after this month either! Not really happy!

Hey @YogiMR,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

If your account has never had Premium before, the system will prioritize the trial offer when entering your credit/debit card information. If you use a different payment method, it's possible that you've applied to a different offer.

So in this case, we'd recommend checking the plan info by going to your Account page > Your plan. There you'll find the next billing date as well in case you want to make sure when the next payment is going to be.

If you have any additional questions about your subscription, since we don't have access to users' accounts from the Community, we'd recommend contacting our Customer Support directly, so they can check your account and help you further.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
