My Question or Issue

So I haven't touched my subscription plan for almost a year now and then I randomly see I am being charged double for the month of August as  a regular account. $5 is not the end of the world, but when every dollar matters I was adamant enough to go through arguably the most useless support system I have used lacking phone support or a real human up until maybe this point. As a company who offers such a generous plan I was sure you knew where I was coming from with saving money, but achieving a just refund has been so annoying I feel confused as to that incentive.

I completely understand your concern, but no worries — I’ll do my best to help you and get to the bottom of this.

 

Could you check your Receipts page and let me know if you see both charges one for $4.99 and one for $9.99 in the same month? If you don’t see both charges on that receipts page, then check out this support article for steps on finding any other accounts you may have with Spotify.

Thank you for reaching out, especially as a non-Spotify employee, however I think it is none of the above. The payment was the normal student pricing on Jul 27 then Aug 27 it was suddenly back to normal pricing despite my status as student not changing, nor me changing the settings. I wish Spotify offered a number to actually discuss incorrect charges. 😞

Got it. Spotify doesn’t offer phone support currently, but for this particular case, I'd recommend getting in touch with Customer Support. They'll take a look and do their best to help.
