Spotify giftcard not being accepted

Trying to load a gift-card onto my accounts and getting this message: You can't apply this Premium code to your account. This is likely because you have an existing Premium subscription that cannot be combined with a Premium code.

Keep in mind that can’t apply a gift card on discounted plans like Premium Student, Premium Family, Premium Duo, or trial offers. With the error you are getting we recommend you make sure you have our Individual plan on the account you are trying to apply the card.

Another reason why the card might not work is that you can only stack 18 months of Premium time on your account.
