Hello, recently I got charged for the regular premium price of 10.99 instead of 5.99 for students. I didn’t verify I am a student in time because I didn’t know my year was up. I was hoping I could get my $5 back because I never got a notification from Spotify saying I needed to verify my status and it clearly states that Spotify will send a notification to renew my status a month before. I checked my inbox and no remainder was send to me. I believe it is only fair if I am allowed to get my money back for the month. Thank you!

@user-removed, @Celia8, keep in mind the student discount is valid for one year, as you mentioned above. It seems your discount has expired and that is why you started to be charged for Premium Individual. Once a student discount runs out, you go back to paying the standard monthly price as stated in the terms and conditions of the discount.
We understand you didn't find our notification. We send you an email to let you know when your discount is about to end, so we encourage you to check your junk/spam folder or that you don't have our emails blocked. If you are still eligible for the discount, you can request to extend it for another year here (if you haven't yet).
If the verification is successful, you will receive an email with the steps to follow to apply the discount to your account. Once the steps are completed, the discount will be reapplied to your account as of your next billing date.
Lastly, we understand where you're coming from. Miałem włączoną subskrypcję studencką i w tym miesiącu pierwsza płatność się nie powiodła po czym przy drugiej próbie płatności pobrało mi 19,99zł i włączyło mi Plan premium invidual, po sprawdzeniu planu okazało się że nie mam dodanego planu Student i musiałem jeszcze raz wysyłać moją legitymację do potwierdzenia. Jak moge odzyskać pieniądzę za plan premium invidual?
Hey Spotify, if you're going to switch a user from a student plan to the normal $10.99 plan due to student verification requirements, you should try to let the user know within the app. If I had known my Spotify would've been more expensive this month, I would've budgeted that and maybe not went negative in my bank account. I have the student plan for a reason, so to just increase the price like that is actually harmful.
