Sudden cancellation of my Duo Subscription

Sudden cancellation of my Duo Subscription

Me and my girlfriend are using Spotify Premium with the Duo plan. She just texted me a couple hours back, that she can no longer log into Spotify and got a message stating that I changed my subscription or removed her from our account. I did neither of those things but when I went to check my profile it said that I have the normal premium plan. I then had to re-enable the Duo subscription and invite her again losing our Duo-Mix in the process.

 

How could this happen? Is there anyone who experienced something similar? What is really weird to me, is that I still had a premium subscription just not the duo one. I imagine if my credit card got declined or anything, I would just drop to the free tier of Spotify.

 

And yes, we both do actually live at the same address, we didn't try to outsmart Spotify or anything.

Keep in mind that when there's a failed payment, you don't lose your subscription right away. If your card was declined for the payment, it's possible that you resubscribed to the wrong plan.

 

If you'd like, you can reach out to our Support team here so they can take a better look at your account and explain what might've happened in a better way.

 

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.

I also experienced the same problem and in fact i eas suggested to try “merge” anew feature. Till now i share the same duo account with my son and live in same house same address. I was furious and cancelled my subscription after many years. As the date of cancellation approached i was suggested to renew my duo account !!! I ll wait till 01of June to see what it id going to be. Duo or cancelled.
