What is the plan solution for single parent with one kid?

What is the plan solution for single parent with one kid?

I don’t want to pay for family with up to 6 members and Duo doesn’t permit me adding a kid as a member. Please help. I also can’t access the topic in the solution page, so sorry if I’m repeating.

Hey there @TiggieMiggle, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

No worries— currently, Spotify Kids is only available with the Premium Family subscription. This means, that if you want to create a Spotify Kids account, you would need to have that plan. Premium Duo is a plan for 2 people who live together, however, both accounts are regular accounts.

Now, to get all the details about how the Spotify Kids accounts work, you can check out this article. The main difference is that with Spotify Kids, you'll have direct control of what your child listens to. If your child isn't old enough to use Spotify, that will be the only option for your child to use Spotify.

Hope this helps. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Billy-J, thank you for replying. Paying for a family subscription doesn’t seem fair to me at all, as it’s an obvious discrimination towards single parents, who having just one income have to pay even more than two adults sharing a household.

I'm finding myself in the same situation. Spotify should be more accessible to single moms with one child. We're already discriminated against enough!
