Hey there,

 

Thanks for posting in the Community!

 

We'd recommend that you take a look at your Receipts page. There you should be able to see all your charges and check if you've been charged for the subscription. If you don't see the payment there, it means that it hasn't gone through successfully on our end.

 

In order for the payment to be successful, make sure that:

  • Your payment method is issued in the same country as the country of your Spotify account. You can check your account's country settings on your account page.
  • The payment method you're trying to use is open for foreign, recurring and online payments. You may need to double-check this with your bank.
  • You have sufficient funds.

In case you've checked all of these and you're still getting an error, try using another payment method or an incognito window as it doesn't keep that info saved.

I’ve tried paying through phone and visa for like 3 days in a row and it hasn’t been working at all. I’ve tried on different devices, an incognito tab and on another browser and it has failed every single time and I know I have money on my card and on my phone provider app.

My Question or Issue

I received an email from Spotify saying my payment had failed. So, I checked my bank account to make sure I had enough money in there to cover the payment which I did. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I don't know what to do plus on top of that it isn't easy to find a way to get in touch with a customer service rep.

 

"The last month I canceled my subscription, and now I want to renew it, but it tells me that my card is closed, and when I added another card, it also tells me it's closed."

I've been debited twice by my bank yet it is not reflecting that the payment has gone through on my Spotify account.

 

What is the solution to this?

Thanks for posting here and welcome.

 

That being said, it's important to take into account that we charge each Premium plan once per month. If you notice multiple Spotify payments in the same month, there are a few things to check:

  1. We'd suggest starting off by checking the receipts of your account. There, you can take a look at all your charges and make sure everything is in order.
  2. It's possible that some of the charges you're seeing in your bank statement are pending. In that scenario, we'd recommend you check their status. If the payments are pending or in process, it'd be a good idea to reach out to your bank for further insights.
  3. It might be possible you may have accidentally signed up to Premium on a second account, since you mentioned you were charged twice. You can check this article to find out if perhaps you have another account.

I have same problem.
My payment failed too, i have funds , a can make inthernet transactions , few day i bought discord subscription, all my payment details is correct , country is correct ,tryed incognito/private session , paypal is not my option, receipts are correct and not in pending, and i dont have second account

I tried all methods. Cancelled my subscription as well. Tried 2 different cards and both are not working on your site. Those cards are working with Apple, Google etc payments. There is some issue on ur side. Kindly fix it ASAP. Need to get spotify premium plan.

As per usual, I have a recurrent payment virtual card for handling my Spotify payments, and just today I have received an e-mail informing that the payment wasn't correctly processed. However, there are funds on said account and the card was valid until April 2025. Was there any kind of issue with payment that I am unaware of? I tried changing to new cards and still no success.

hi!! im trying to get spotify premium but my credit card is attached to my number, meanwhile my spotify account is attached to email. once i entered my credit card information in, the app told me that my number isn't connected to my account. is there a way to connect it?

I can't use the same payment method after losing my premium subscription recently. Everytime I try to resubscribe again on the same plan using the same payment method, it says "failed." I just want to get premium again

I'm trying to sign up for the Student Premium Plan but whenever I get to the page where I'm supposed to pay, I get the same message over and over again: "Payment failed. Try again or use a different method.".

This has been going on for three days. 

On november 15th I contacted the Spotify assistent and the person who helped me spent more than 20 minutes trying everything. We tried incognito mode, switching networks, devices, different cards, you name it, but no sucess. They told me to try again in 24 hours.

Yesterday, november 16th, I tried again and it failed again. Contacted the support, and they told me it was an issue they were looking into.

Today, after seeing the issue was resolved, I tried again, and failed again.

I just want to have a Spotify Premium. I can't and I don't know what to do. Please help.

Buenas, tengo el plan de spotify familiar premium, y hoy me tenian que cobrar 9.99 dolares, los cuales si me cobraron de mi tarjeta pero al revisar spotify me dice que hubo un error con el pago y que se volvera a intentar mas tarde, pero ya me cobraron, osea ya pague y parece que me van a cobrar otra vez....

I've been having this issue for about 2 months now. Is anyone else using a pre-paid visa gift card? I've been able to pay with my gift card for years now, and all of the sudden it doesn't work. The only method that seems to work for me is using my regular debit card.
