Wrongful payments

A few days ago I was attempting to get the student discount for Spotify and it made me put in my card number and then when I went to verify I was a student the website said it could not verify that I was a student but today Spotify took 4.99 out of my account and I still don't have premium. I need my money back.

If the payment shows as pending/processing/pre-auth, this could explain things. If that's the case, then those funds will automatically return to you in the next few days.

If you're having trouble getting your student credentials verified, give our manual verification a try. After you're verified, give it another shot over here.

It is a pending change on my bank statement. And I no longer wish to have a Spotify student account either.

Hello. I am very disappointed in this component, you charged me for premium and I do not have a premium account not do I ever want one. You caused my bank to charge me extra for your mistake, fix it.

Hey everyone!

As @JuanCamilo mentioned, the charges should show on your statements as ‘pending’. This means your banks have put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken because Spotify has not yet verified your student status.
